Annie went to La La land Each night when she was sleeping. She played in fields of red and gold, Magic keys were in her keeping. Each one she used to open a door To worlds beyond this planet, Where dragons danced, And unicorns pranced And giants chewed up granite! However one night, she got a fright In a place called Falamar, Where beasties roamed, And the landscape was owned By a witch named Shalamar! When an ogre appeared And filled Annie with fear, She tried to run away, But he was too fast, She couldn't get past. She made the ogre's day! The beastie took her to Shalamar Who's laugh was shrill and scary, And Annie was quaking, Her knees were shaking As she called for her friend, Sir Larry! A magician she knew, so loyal and true, He helped her when she was in trouble! He always appeared whenever she feared To chase away ghouls on the double! For he took his orders from Annie Dawn Borders, The girl with the magical keys, Whose wishes were noted by a hero devoted To making the bad guys say "please"! |
